This is a call to duty

On November 2ND 2009,

at approximately 7:45 AM, USS New York will enter New York harbor for what will undoubtedly be the Greatest Commissioning Event this Nation has ever Witnessed.

days ago the Heart of this City was Ripped Out and now some of what we Lost Returns.

We need to show this Crew, this Nation and the World just how we feel

We all know where we were when they Fell

You want to be here when they Return

We need to line the Shores, fill the Boats and get out there to Welcome

The Mighty USS New York

No other event in your Lifetime will leave you this Breathless

The colors of the day are Red, White and Blue with a splash of Yellow Ribbon

Bring your Flags and Welcome Signs

Shout from the Rooftops and Toot your Horns

The World is Watching, don’t let the Fallen be Forgotten

It is here at this time and place that we Say

We Will “Never Forget”

Never Forget

At 8:00 AM USS New York will pause abeam the World Trade Center Site

She will dip her flag and a 21 gun Salute will be Rendered

New York will then transit up the Hudson River to the George Washington Bridge

And then return south to dock at pier 88 at about 10:15

Out of the Ashes a Great National Treasure has risen

USS New York

Now it’s our Job to Show our Support

Three Decades Of Global Cooling

(From IBD)

Posted 10/12/2009 06:21 PM ET

(Climate Change)
As a Colorado Rockies playoff game is snowed out, scientists report that Arctic sea ice
is thickening and Antarctic snow melt is the lowest in three decades.
Whatever happened to global warming
Al Gore
wasn’t there to throw out the first snowball, er, baseball, so he might not have noticed that Saturday’s playoff game between the Colorado Rockies and the Philadelphia Phillies was
snowed out – in early October. The field should have been snow-free just as
the North Pole was to be ice-free this year.

It seems that ice at both poles hasn’t been paying attention to the computer models. The National Snow and Ice Data Center released its summary of summer sea-ice conditions in the Arctic last week and reported a substantial expansion of “second-year ice” – ice thick

enough to have persisted through two summers of seasonal melting.
According to the NSIDC, second-year ice this summer made up 32% of the total ice cover on the Arctic Ocean, compared with 21% in 2007 and 9% in 2008. Clearly, Arctic sea ice is not following the consensus touted by Gore and the warm-mongers.
This news coincides with a finding published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters last month by Marco Tedesco, a research scientist at the Joint Center for Earth Systems Technology. He reported that ice melt on Antarctica was the lowest in three decades
during the ice-melt season.
Each year, millions of square miles of sea ice melt and refreeze. The amount varies from season to season. Despite pictures taken in summer of floating polar bears, data reported by the University of Illinois’ Arctic Climate Research Center at the beginning of this year
showed global sea ice levels the same as they were in 1979,
when satellite observations began.
At the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change, hosted by the Heartland Institute, the keynote speaker, Dr. Patrick Michaels of the Cato Institute and the University of Virginia, debunked claims of “unprecedented” melting of Arctic ice. He showed how
Arctic temperatures were warmer during the 1930s and that most of
Antarctica is indeed cooling.
At the other end of the earth, we are told the Larsen B ice shelf on the western side of Antarctica is collapsing. That part is warming and has been for decades. But it comprises just 2% of the continent. The rest of the continent is cooling.
A report prepared by the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research for last April’s
meeting of the Antarctic Treaty nations in Washington notes that th
South Pole has in fact shown
“significant cooling in recent decades.”

Dear Mr. Porzio,

Thank you for writing to me about the current state of our healthcare system.  I share your concerns and am committed to finding a solution that will give quality, affordable health care to every American.

I believe that by opening up a not-for-profit public health plan like a “Medicare for all,” we can ensure that every American has access to quality, affordable healthcare where anyone could buy in at an affordable rate, such as 5% of their income.  In the world’s wealthiest nation, it’s unconscionable that people are turned away from coverage because of a pre-existing condition and that families are just one illness away from bankruptcy.

Offering a public health care plan option to compete with private insurers is the best way to truly lower health costs, improve quality of care and ensure access to care in rural and other underserved areas.  Injecting healthy competition into the health care market is the only way to achieve real health care reform.  I am committed to addressing this important issue and will work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle toward a bipartisan solution.

Again, thank you for contacting me about health care.  Please keep in touch with my office regarding any future legislation and concerns you may have.  For more information on this and other important issues being discussed in the United States Senate, please visit my website http://gillibrand.senate.gov and sign up for my e-newsletter.

A Inconvenient Truth

A documentary challenging Al Gore‘s “An Inconvenient Truth,” dares to ask   a question at the Society of Environmental Journalists annual conference. Apparently Mr. Gore only allows the ‘right kind’ of questions to be asked of him,a English judge has only allowed Gore,s movie to be show after it is explained to the school kids that it is just political propaganda and has 9 inconvenient lies,
